Bank of America - 68th and El Cajon

The Bank of America at 68th and El Cajon is a project in San Diego that was in need of a total HVAC system replacement. This project required removal of the built up constant air volume system consisting of approximately 35 ton capacity. The equipment had been exposed to a large amount of salt due to its location and was severely corroded. A total of five gas/electric package units, three 10 ton units, one 7.5 unit and one 3 ton unit were installed as well as a 1 ton split system.

Northrop Grumman

In 2003 Summer Systems took on one of its biggest projects, The Northrop Grumman Technical Presentation Center in Redondo Beach. Northrop Grumman is a global defense and technology company which provides innovative systems, products and solutions in the electronics, aerospace and shipbuilding industries. Summer Systems committed to the addition of the Technical Presentation Center, this project was a ground up project for the installation of a complete HVAC, exhaust systems, and air distribution. Three pace air handlers and two York air-cooled liquid scroll chillers were installed; the equipment was 75 tons overall. Once completed, Summer Systems had a certified air and water balance performed by a licensed agency to insure that the systems were performing at maximum capacity.
